What is a coach?
A coach is a hired professional who serves as a collaborative thinking partner to assist clients in creating their desired change. A coach is not an expert, and thus, is not a guru, therapist, consultant, mentor, or trainer. A coach is an adult peer that helps facilitate opportunities for clients to engage in deep and collaborative thought to break through limiting mindsets and create their own solutions.
I am a certified NLP Somatic Coach through the Academy of Leadership Coaching and NLP, which trains coaches in practices aligned and set forth by the International Coaching Federation—one of the most respected coaching organizations in the world.
What is energy work?
Energy work is a holistic practice that involves working with the body’s energy field to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. It is based on the principle that the body has an innate ability to heal itself and that balancing its energy can facilitate this process.
You might have heard of auras, chakras, biofields, chi, prana, or meridians—these are elements native to the energy body. While primarily addressed in Eastern medicine, Western medicine has begun to slowly research and accept various energy work elements. In the West, some of these elements might be better known as bioelectromagnetic energy, electrical impulses, lymph, and nervous system responses.
Energy work aims to address these energy body elements and promote wellness through intention, balance, alignment, and relaxation. I practice two energy work methods, The Emotion Code® and Beyond Quantum Healing.
Are these services a good substitute for conventional therapy?
Holistic work, including life coaching, is not a suitable replacement for conventional therapy. However, holistic work may enhance or support the benefits in combination with conventional therapy. Please consult with your mental health provider if holistic work would be a good supplement.
Additionally, if I feel that that you have a need that extends beyond the limits of holistic work, it is my ethical obligation to refer you to a legally appropriate health professional.
Are sessions conducted in person or online?
At this time all sessions are conducted online or by phone. I will provide you with all of the necessary web links and plenty of easy-to-use options.
What is CoachVantage?
You may see the “.coachvantage” after the Prairie Sky Holistic web address; this is intentional and expected. CoachVantage is a client relations management software that I use to help power functions of Prairie Sky Holistic. This software allows me to better integrate administrative functions, such as contracts, payment processing, scheduling, and more.
How do payments work? Can I use insurance?
I accept payments via Stripe. This is managed through the booking form that integrates with CoachVantage. If possible, I can also use Venmo to process your payments.
Unfortunately, most insurances will not cover holistic work. That is why I aim to provide an array of payment options to help accommodate people’s needs.
It is worth mentioning that some employers offer wellness benefits that cover non-traditional care, like massage and energy. Reach out to your HR representative to see if this benefit available.
Can I cancel a service if it’s not working for me?
I understand that circumstances can change. If you find that a service isn’t suitable for your needs, you’re welcome to cancel it with a 2-week written notice. I’ll ensure the transition is smooth and that you’re only billed for the sessions during that notice period.
As your service provider, I also reserve the right to cancel a service if it’s not in the best interest of both parties.
